I can give you a little advice I learnt while working lately!

First, use references. Real life is the best if you can afford it. Do not feel the need to be completely accurate, what matters is pointing down little details you would not remember on your own.

Also, for shading, remember it's not always effective to use only lights and shadows. The best combination is two sets of shadows (superficial ones and darker ones), reflective light and light. It gives your drawings more depht and more color.

Also copy-pastying lineart is a very reccomendable practise and not shameful. Think smarter, not harder!
